Sleeping with head down

Hello again,
My juvenile Jackson's has been becoming more and more lethargic. He sleeps a lot during the day (I asked about this in my earlier post), but now he is sleeping with his head down on the branch. Is this normal or something to be concerned about? Any info would help. Thanks!

Did you get the fecal test done? Make the changes Carlton suggested?
A chameleon is not a creature that will wait for you to decide to do things to make its environment right or live with a heavy parasite load if that's what's causing the poor feces/urates.

Sleeping with his head down isn't in itself a sign of trouble, but everything else you have been describing is. Now we hear you are going to be gone next week leaving him in the care of your siblings. Maybe one of them will take him to a vet.

OK, I just can't watch this unfold so I'll try once more.

OP: I am NOT trying to pick at a wound, endlessly argue with you, not trying to be mean or disrespectful, but your cham is telling you in every way he can that he is in TROUBLE. I don't think you are getting the message. You seem to think you have time to do something. You don't have much if any. By the time a cham shows such obvious signs as sleeping during the day, not eating, drinking, or being active it's in deep trouble. Chams hide their symptoms of weakness in order to avoid notice by a predator. His reserves are now empty. Now you tell us you will be gone next week and your cham will spend the entire time in the setup and location that isn't working for him. My honest suggestion at this point is to give the cham to someone who can care for him correctly or take him to a vet for care while you are away. I get it that the usual reply will be that you don't have money to do that. Sorry, your cham doesn't know this or care. All he knows is that he's miserable, giving up and may be dying. Such a sad ending for a beautiful creature. If this insults you I am sorry. Most forum members know that I try very hard to be polite and helpful even when I would love to be otherwise.

Thank you for the concern. I care a lot about my chameleon and making him an appointment will be my priority. I will update you when I can.
