Your Chameleon - be nosy panther chameleon. Bought him when he was "4 months" but has always been small
Handling - since he has been having an eye issue I'm treating with Terramycin I handle every day. Use to be hardly ever
Feeding - I mix my selection of food including; flightless fruit flys ( loves those ), dubias, wax worms , crickets. I dust with calcium every day and d3 with multivitamin once a month

Watering - I use a mist king starter set up and was misting everyday for 4 times ranging from 1:30 to 45 seconds. Then my timer broke and the schedule has been thrown off to 2-4 times a day
Fecal Description - stool appears normal and never has been tested for parasites
History - N/A

Cage Info:Cage Type - all screen medium sized cage
Lighting - Zoomed basking bulb 100w/ 5.0 UVB t8 bulb in the back. Just added a clay emitter for night hear since the cage has been low 60s at night
What is your daily lighting schedule? Lights on 8 lights off 8
Temperature - highest part of the cage 88-95 middle - 80-88 lowest 70 Lowest overnight temp? I've seen it at 62 normally 60-70
How do you measure these temps? Digital probe up high and humidity/ temp gage in the middle
Humidity - 65-75% living next to the beach is helping but misting 2-4 times a day
Plants - Hawaiian umbrella tree
Placement - cage is at the entrance of my room with little flow going through it
Location - San Diego

Current Problem - All started with him itching his left eye on the cage and on everything he can. Started putting him in the shower for some extra humidity thinking something was in it. Started using Terramycin and seemed to be getting better. Now he has been sleeping during the day and he seems to be doing it more and more. Along with that he will only wake up when the misting starts and will work his way to the top of the cage with his eyes closed. A lot of the time when he is walking around the cage he is on the top and walking around like he is drunk..

His eye does not look good and those colors are concerning. It could be an eye infection or debris in the eye. Using teramyacin for a day or two could cause more problems than it fixes. Antibiotics have to be applied over a certain time in order to effective. Short burst of antibiotics create resistance and bigger problems down the road. If he is sleeping all day there is definitely a problem. The showers IMO create more stress than cure. Has he eaten lately, have you seen him drink?

He really only seems to eat the fruit flies now and today saw him drinking water and hanging out in front of the mister. Still dropping poops so has to be eating something

I recommend a vet visit for your little guy. There's a couple of good chameleon vets in San Diego. I'll see if I can find their names for you.

Cham vet in SD is Dr. Todd Cecil at the Emergency and Specialty Hospital in La Mesa on Jackson and in Chula Vista (not sure location) or Dr. Boyer at Pet Hospital of Penasquitos, 888-F Carmel Mountain Road, San Diego, CA - (858) 484-3490

Please tell me chameleon vets arnt that expensive like dog vets.. Lol thanks for the help in actually in Oceanside but can make that drive

Vet visits always seem to be expensive but that's why most will warn that chameleons are super expensive to keep. I assure the peace of mind you receive from knowing how to help your chameleon is worth the vet visit. I lose sleep when they are not healthy and showing signs of illness. Good luck and hurry. Reptiles have a unique way of hiding illness until they are about done. Keep us posted.
