Sleeping at 5pm?

I just found ivy sleeping with the lights on in her cage at 5:30pm eastern time. That caught me off guard. I know that isn't normal I ran out of crickets about 3 days ago and been feeding her 4 to 6 super worms the small ones until I was able to get some crickets. Since my local shop ran out. But will get some by tomorrow.
Her info.
Female ambilobe about to make 6 months on the 15th and my wife's been telling me she's been eating a bit of the dirt in the plant. I can't tell if she's pregnant. But I bought a laying bin. Just need help on the dirt part. If anyone can foward me a direct link to some kind that would be helpful.

She needs calcium with D3 twice a month as well. She don't look gravid to me. Here is a video

Yeah I seen this video I actuallygot her from the people who made this video. I just wanted to know about the dirt or sand. I couldn't find the one for her in lowes.

She could be impacted, if she don't stop sleeping during the day like real soon I would get her to a good reptile vet. They deteriorate really fast so don't linger too long.

I would say any dirt as long as it doesn't contain fertilizer. As far as the sand goes play sand will work fine there.

Sleeping during the day is definitely a sign of an issue. Could you fill out this form? https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/how-to-ask-for-help.66/
I'm not so sure about the dirt eating, but it could very well be a vitamin deficiency. I think some animals do this to replenish those nutrients. What is your supplementing schedule?
  • Your Chameleon - ambilobe panther, female she's Almost 6 months and had her for 2. Got her from chamalot chameleon.
  • Handling - I haven't still trying yo get her trust.
  • Feeding - What are you feeding your cham?crickets and super worms What amount?8 to 10 crickets a and if I run out of them 4 to 6 super worms for about 2 or 3 days What is the schedule? Everyday How are you gut-loading your feeders? With carrots
  • Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? Repti calcium without d3 once a week
  • Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?mister and 3 to 4x a day and for about 10 to 12 sec
  • Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?brown with white and no
  • History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.no

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions? Screen and I think 12x6x6 the large one sorry I forgot
  • Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule? Zoomed 11hrs
  • Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps? 76 degrees f
  • Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?40 mist my plant and have plastic wrap on 2 sides of the cage
  • Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? 1 live plant and
  • Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?living room and yes near a fan but it's never on. And on top of a tall lamp stand
  • Location - Where are you geographically located? Central Florida

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about. Saw her sleeping at 5:30pm

I turn her lights off around 7 so it was about an hour and half before. But she's awake now and fed her 3 dusted superwoman and she seems fine

From looking at this I see a lot of things that are off, or missing. Look at this care sheet, and compare it too what you are doing, and make the corrections. good luck. https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/caresheets/panther/

I recommend 12 hours light setting, also bring her out for natural sun basking n superworm should be just a treat once a week .

I give her calcium without d3 once a week

They need plain calcium at EVERY feeding, so they should be getting calcium several times a week at minimum. Plain calcium is water soluble, so your chameleon cannot overdose on it..so long as it's well hydrated, as it's body will simply pass out the excess in it's waste.

The sleeping in the day could very well be a calcium deficiency. I hope at the very least, you're gutloading her food with high-calcium foods.

Multivitamins + calcium with D3 twice a month are important (on different feedings. Never the same day.) Calcium without D3 every feeding.
I would also suggest you look into gutloading on here. Crickets are low in nutrients when given only one type of food. Lots of vegetables, leafy greens, oranges, apples, dandelion, etc.
I'm sorry, but by Zoomed, what light do you mean? Is that a UVB? A panther needs a heat bulb and a UVB. The heat bulb wattage depends on the temperature it gives out. You gotta experiment with that one.
Feed less. Females, after 6mo, should be cut back so they don't produce large clutches and lose calcium. Many people here do every other day. Try to feed her as early as possible, too. The heat will help her metabolize the food properly.
