Skinny or dehydrated?

I was given this chameleon by a family that was moving. When I asked, they said he drank out of a bowl and were evasive about the last time they fed him. Ignore the inaccurate temp/hydro. I've been misting, added live plants, and a drip. The moisture is about 50 % and basking spot is in upper 80s but gets a little warmer in the afternoon. He eats but his tongue only comes out about 2 to 3 inches and he misses superworms in a cup about 50% of the time. They gave me multivitamins they were using but they were vague how often they dusted.

I suggest you get your husbandry reviewed. I can't believe you were not told enough information. I will attach a sheet

Please fill this sheet out ???

What multivitamins did they give you?

Hard to be sure if he's thin or dehydrated at this point. Urates might give some clues.

I would set up a dripper and mist and make sure he gets some good well fed food ASAP...you likely know all of the though!

Thank you for the input. I have only had Caspian, a male veiled chameleon 2 days, so while I am happy to fill out a husbandry form, his condition is the result of his previous environment. I gather from all that the previous owners said, they were keeping this chameleon without misting or drippers and using the same husbandry that they were using for their bearded dragon (except the chameleon was kept in a screened upright enclosure.) They gave me the multivitamin they were using "exo-terra". They didn't say they were they were using calcium. And they were feeding him superworms almost exclusively. My mail order of dubias, soldier fly larva, and hornworm will arrive Tuesday. With misting and a dripper, the current humidity varies from 50 to 70%. I have not seen him drink but he is a very low traffic area of my house above eye level so he could have easily taken a drink without my notice.
