Size of food and age of chameleon

My veiled is 7 months old now. I've been feeding him medium sized roaches for the last two months which he seems to get down with relatively no problems. At what age do I move him on to adults? and do you think he's ready for superworms now? he still eats roaches but he must be really bored of them by now! so I wanna give him something new to try.

Feeders no larger than the space between his eyes. Yes, give him worms......not only supers but silkworms are very good for him. Super are not that great. Jann

Yeah that's the rule of thumb I use but short of getting a ruler out and measuring between his eyes, really can't see him appreciating that! lol, it's a bit hard to tell. He seems to be satisfied with his current diet so I think i'll just leave it at that. If it aint broke and all that!

The rule of thumb of "feeders not larger than the space between his eyes"

IS that as in "how large around", or "no longer than"

Cause superworms and hornworms are much longer than the space between most all captive chameleons eyes :D

The rule doesn't really apply with worms.
Common sense comes into play and the space between the eyes is a good gauge, but they can manage "worms" ... especially soft bodied ones, that are quite a bit larger.
