single egg after laying

thalamus just laid eggs for the second time last night. (38 infertile) but right before she went to sleep tonight, she laid a single stray egg that i found at the bottom of her cage. has this happened to anyone's cham before?

i noticed her in the same spot for well over 4 hours last night as she was burying her tunnel up. she was facing downwards into her tunnel and it looked like she was contracting. maybe she was trying to get this one egg out before she buried her clutch? i hope theres no more inside her!

ok, now this night she laid 3 stray eggs....IN HER SLEEP. i noticed when i heard a plip sound in her cage. shes sleeping vertically on the wall of her cage. what is going on? i palpated her today to feel around for eggs and i felt what must have been one. maybe that stimulated her to lay more? this is getting ridiculous, ive never heard anything like it.

yes..if they are infertile she knows..kinda weird, but ive had some females do the same..doesent mean anything you are dooin wrong..they just know "its not that important"..but if she is not holding anymore "extras" by the end of the week shes good..just watch her and look for any binding...

Maybe for reference what are signs of binding? I would give examples but i dont know.

Signs of eggbinding include but are not exclusive to...
sitting low in the cage, eyes shut, lethargic, not eating, may dig a hole and fill it in without laying any eggs, etc. Trouble is that by the time you determine that the chameleon is eggbound the only alternative is surgery/spaying.

well thats some good news! she pushed another one out when she woke up. ill make sure she gets any extras out. ill probably schedule a vet appt to get an xray just incase to keep my mind at ease.

when i palpated her again today i felt at least one more inside her unless its a poop or some food. shes showing interest in eating once again and is drinking well so thats a good sign.
