Can anyone tell me what this silver-ish spot is on my baby's tail? I'm freakin' out (probably overly) and I've got my vet on speed dial!! Any insight would be much appreciated!!

It looks like his tail was smashed, maybe in the cage door. I have seen them look like that before. I recommend putting some Silver Sulfadiazine Cream on it. You will have to get that from your vet.

Oh man, thank you so much!! Does it take a while to go away? So it's some kind of bruising? He's still curling and using it so can I assume he's not in too much pain?!?

He should be fine as long as it doesn't get infected. I would put some neosporin on it until you can get the Silver Sulfadiazine. It happen to my little girl Lottie's tail right before I got her. I took her to the vets and he just had me use the Silver Sulfadiazine and keep a close eye on it. It might have been a little worse than your boy's and the end of her tail dried up and fell off but you would never know it now.

Burn

When I first got my panther, I brought him home from the place I got him and discovered a large black gray patch on his belly, I called the store and they said it must be a burn from when he was a baby, wish they told me earlier! But he is still a great Cham and the burn doesn't seem to bother him. I've been told after another couple sheds the patch will begin to fade, does anybody know if this is true?:confused::confused:
