Can chameleon get sick of eating silkworms? I been feeding my cham silkworms and Goliath worms for a week and half (example Monday 3 silkworms Wednesday 2 medium Goliath worms Friday silkworms and Sunday Goliath again). I bought crickets and Phoenix worms to change it up and now he is only eating the crickets ? i don't want the silkworms go to waste cause they are pricey as long as the Goliath worms too. The last time he eat was Friday he only at 4 crickets . What should i do ? Thanks :D

How old is your Chameleon?

If he is old enough may be skip a day or two of feeding (not offer food) so he is hungry.

yes, they can get bored of eating anything. They also need some chinton in their diet, which silkies and goliath dont provide. so its good that you are switching it up. Next time you feed him, offer a silkworm again. if the cham is hungry it will eat it, if its not all that hungry it will hold out for prey item its more interested in eating.

My cham is about a year old. He is a very picky eater he is a graceful cham. I tried the silkworm every other 2 days and nothing. If i put crickets he perfers that instead. I just bought this silkies and i hope they don't go to waste... I guess i can try crickets this week and next week silkies, hopefully they last that long i got them on January 13 and there big alreasy =) so we will see.

If they don't get fed off and you begin to see them cocoon slice up paper towel and bathroom tissue rolls into 1" to 2" rings and set them throughout the silkworm enclosure. They should cocoon easily. When the moths emerge you can feed you cham them and all of mine seem to love silkmoths. The moths flutter their wings a lot when resting so it draws the chams attention in. Also the are super easy to breed. Just put a male and a female together and throw them on a petri dish in a container and you will have plenty off eggs 48-72 hrs. after the mating occurs. Good luck.
