Does anyone know where you can get silkworms in the UK? I have looked on loads of sites and all have been out of stock for months?!?! I know its winter but surely these places have special environments to breed them?!?

My cham will soon be getting bored of crickets I fear

I got Lily some Silkworms from here: http://www.butterworms.co.uk/index.html, I think they sell Phoenix Worms (Calcigrubs) too. The owners are away at the moment, but they were reliable when I used them, although only once! Lily wasn't too impressed with the Silkies though. You can also get roaches too over here, but I'm not brave enough to try them yet! If your cham is big enough give Superworms (Morio Worms) a try - Lily adores the newly shed white ones! :D

Thanks. All orders on hold until 16th  Bet they are "out of stock" too.;) Iv only found Morios here www.insectdirect.com but at least its a start. Do you buy all yours over the net Tiff?

They are actually away on hols (I had an email as I'm a customer, giving advance warning). I get Morios from: http://www.livefoodsbypost.co.uk/. They are only 10 mins or so from me. I get everything for Lily from them - I actually discovered chams there and bought Lily from them too. Have you tried locusts? Lily loves them (which is lucky as I really hated crix when I first got her). If you buy enough tubs, the price works out the same as if you go instore and buy them. I pay £2.00 per tub - that's everything in any size. You can set up a standing order with them too, so you get your order every week, although I don't need to order online. I love going in to look around anyway!! :D

Aww you are so lucky to live near somewhere like that. I will look for locusts next thanks for the advice :D I can get hold of an abundance of crix but not much else but will keep checking those sites. Thanks again :)
