silkworm moth question

After mating how long does it take for the female silkworm moths to start laying eggs? Should she be mated multiple times for her to start laying eggs? She separated from the male for about 10 hours now and she hasn't started laying eggs. Thanks for the help

Usually takes only one mating. Check the container closely as perhaps she did already and you aren't seeing them. I say that because it happened to me. I didn't know she had laid her eggs as they kind of were difficult to distinguish from the towel paper due to the light colour of the eggs. I was wondering when she'd start as it was supposed to be immediately after. Upon closer inspection, I realized that she had already finished.
