How long will a 1/2 pound of silkworm dry feed last you for 1000 silkworm eggs?

1/2 pound dry will make 2 pounds wet. if your hatching all 1000 at once, i would suggest gettin at least 1pound dry which will make 4 pounds of wet. then see how it goes from there. better too much than not enough.


dont wanna go scramblin for mulberry leaves. to answer your question, 1/2 pound dry will last you 2-3weeks.

not too bad, funny people will sell anythning on ebay.

16 bucks for 3 pounds of leaves..... probably last you 3 weeks or so.

Shipping on 10 lbs of feed won't be cheap though. I bought a 10 lb bag a little while ago (don't remember where from... mulberry or Coastal) and it was on sale, but I think after shipping and everything it came out to about ~$70.

If you order the 10# bag from mulberry farms, include in the comment section that you would like the $11 flat rate box. As there is no concern of it spoiling in shipping, the added 2 or 3 days in shipping is well worth the savings of $17.

what is silkworm chow made of anyways? is it just dehydrated mulberry leaves?

Dried powdered mulberry leaves, and some other things. Soy powder and corn flour were mentioned by Mulberry Farms. They may add extra vitamins or supplements as well, but I'm not completely sure on that account.
