LOL i know what your thinking there is a million threads already but im too lazy and i figured id test your knowledge some more. Anyways i just got my first colony of silkies about a week ago and today i noticed 3 of them have spun cocoons what do i do from this stage on?

put them in a bin with paper lining the bottom. They will emerge and lay their eggs on the paper and you can just rip it up and put it in bags and put those in the fridge for at least a month but i think like 2-3 is best but ive heard they can last up to 5 years in the fridge. They dont require any more care once they turn to month all they do is reproduce.

Also, make sure before you move the cocoons that they are completely finished spinning it so that you don't crush it.
