Silk Worm Moth Emerging Video and pics

I wasnt sure if this would be best in the food or photography section.

Anyway, I have been trying to get more pictures for my bug blogs and was lucky enough to catch some silk worm moths coming out of their cocoons this morning. The video is long so you can fast forward, but it is pretty neat to see how they come out. I think the little head poking out first is just too darn cute!

Wow that was really cool. What's the difference between the different colored cocoons?

There isn't a difference. Naturally the cocoons have color variations. In the wild they would all be yellow, but commercially silk farmers wanted white silk so they selectively bred them for lighter and lighter colored cocoons.
