Silk Questions

So i just looked in my silkworm tub to see how many i had left and i noticed that 3 of them are cocooning...

Since they are cocooning i guess i will give it a shot breeding them.

The question is can i move the coccoons? or should i just leave them be?

If i can i want to seperate them so when they do their thing the eggs are easy to find, and not mixed in with silk poo...

good luck with the breeding, ive heard it is very difficult to do so. let me know if im wrong though, i would love to know how to raise silk worms

once the silkies are done spinning the cocoon, give it a bit of time before moving them around. then place in a warm place for them to hatch out. once they hatch they'll mate and drop the eggs...

search silk worms 101 on google or on the forum and you'll find the basics of breeding silk worms. It isn't THAT hard.. just gotta do some work.

Breeding silkworms is too easy... but buying eggs is sooooooo much cheaper lol. Just buy eggs, its the best way to get alot of silkies. Ask Dave @ Geogia Bugs, he'll hook you up.

Unless you have a dump load of mulberry leaves, of all sizes...

see thats what I was thinking. My friend has a mulberry tree in his back yard, or so he claims.... lol
