so i just went to the flea market and got a bunch of flowers and vines for my enclosures. someone said not to use silk and i was wondering why or if thats even true

Wash them well with soap and water to rinse off any chemical residues. Best not to use fake plants if you have a cham who likes munching on plants. But otherwise I think they're fine to use.

if you have a veiled or panther i dont recommend fake plants. better off going to a nursery or hardware store and buying live. imho they looks better anyways :)

I have never had an issue with silk plants. Like already said wash them well with hot water and soap, making sure all the soap is rinsed off. There will be a lot of dye residue that will wash off, that's what you want. The reason it is best to use live plants is because they help keep up humidity but silk works well as long as you don't have a plant muncher. Just clean them regularly to make sure you don't get any mold.
