Silk Plant?

Hey I have a baby veiled chameleon he is in love with his silk plants. but when I mist him they always soak up the water... I just bought plastic plants. what do I do split him away from his love and hiding spot?

I would take some fake leaves that held the water and intertwine those with the silk plant.

Can you work a live plant in there? Mine never drank off plastic leaves, but the day I put a live plant in their separate cages, both started drinking off the leaves of the plant.

Whether that's possible or not, I think that the silk plants being absorbent probably helps with humidity. So, yes, work some plastic into the silk.

I will mention that I've seen comments here concerned about silk plants having dyes that could leach out...If you're soaking them and the dye is not bleeding, I'd guess that suggests the dye is stable... For future silk plant purchases, it might be a good idea to both wash them thoroughly and then soak them for a few hours to let anything that was going to leach out, leach out.
