Loss of apatite, general lethargy, weight loss wile still eating. There are probably more. The problem is that usually once these symptoms start your cham is in serious trouble. Reptiles do a good job of playing healthy. If you suspect for one minute your known clean cham is infected you should do a fecal asap. If this is a new cham, then one needs to be done any how, just to make sure he is parasite free.

Normal poop shouldn't be offensive in odor unless you actually put the poop in vicinity of your nose.

Yeah to test if it stinks badly put a piece of poop right under your nostrel and see how it smells.

And hold your poop in your other hand, and compare the smell.

Personally having lost my Missy to parasites i wouldn't take chances.
Feacal tests are the only way i would go for definate,but i'm paranoid now
