I have a veiled chameleon that I've had for over a year. We got him from a pet store & he was very malnurished. He was so bad that his crest was crooked & flat. now he is vibrant color & a full crest that is straight. I noticed a couple of days ago that he was laying down alot & closing his eyes through out the day. He just got done shedding & it looks like he has some areas that he might be having a hard time finishing his shed. He's been drinking a lot, but when I watered him the other day it seemed like he was gagging the water back out. I am also looking for a good vet in the Metro Detroit Area for Chameleon's. I don't want to take him to any old vet that won't know anything about chameleons. He's come so far since we've gotten him & I'm worried about him now. Any ideas? I have all of the proper lighting, foliage, heat temps, calcium supplements. Like I said, we nursed him back to health when we first got him & I don't like to see him sick.
