Sick Chameleon

I have a 3 year old panther chameleon who has been acting ill the past couple of days. He is bright yellow and sleeps most of the time. His cage did get down to 62 degrees one night. Could that make him sick? I noticed him rubbing his eyes on some branches as well. He is normally out in my huge sunroom every day, but he hasn't come out of his cage the past 2 days. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Before and after photos attached. Thanks

Your male Furcifer pardalis looks to have a fused eye in the second picture. You may want to give him a 15-20 minute luke warm shower to hydrate, give a good rinse and unfused his eye. That should pick him up some.

Your male Furcifer pardalis looks great in the first picture.

I would get him to an exotic vet, those are stress colors or pajamas and he should not have those if he is usually green. I had one who did this and it did not turn out well but every chameleon is different, if it does not change in another day or so. Not trying to scare you at all really, it may come off that way sorry 😊just know it’s most likely not normal and they decline quickly.
Good luck, if you need a good vet we have a list that covers a good area in the US.

I can see in the pic that you are using a fogger. Be careful, they can cause all kinds of infections. You should never have it placed where the fog can go onto the Cham. After two URIs I stopped using mine completely. If you continue to use it make sure you take it completely apart and soak everything except the motor part in a 3% bleach-water solution including all Hoses. And only use it at night to bring up morning humidity to replicate predawn fog to put dew on the plants. If your Cham sits with his head pointed up or appears to have breathing issues URI and vet visit needed for antibiotics. Please try Jeremy’s advice for the eye or you can use saline solution for sensitive eyes too ( Baush &Lomb) and let it drip onto the eye slowly.

Thank you everyone for your advice. I will sterilize his humidifier and add eyedrops to his eyes. I upped the humidity and heat in his cage last night and his color is better, but he still isn't right. I'm trying to find an exotic vet in my area now who can see him today!
