I have a 6 month old veiled chameleon. I have had him for about 3 weeks

He is fed 10-12 1/2 inch crickets each day. Twice a week I have dusted with repti-cal calcium with D3. His crickets are gut loaded with nature zone total bites.

He is watered with a dripper and his cage is sprayed 2X a day

I haven't seen any new poop the last 2 days. Before that they seemed normal.

He is in a 18x18x36 screen cage. He has only been in that for a week. Prior to that he was in a glass exo terra.

He has a 100 watt repti-sun bulb that supplies his heat and uv.

His basking spot is 87, ambient temp is 73, bottom of the cage is 68.

He has mostly fake plants with one live tree on the bottom. Dont know what type it is

The cage is in my room on a table so low traffic.

Humidity not sure on top of cage. bottom where the plant and the gauge is is at 70 %

My buddy hasn't eaten for 2 days now (counting today) and when I came home from work to check on him he has one eye that stays closed and looks sunken. I shower misted him which he hated and just tryed to escape. I am so worried and don't know what to do. I have no vets in the area at all. The closest vet is 1 1/2 hours away and not in until tuesday. Please any ideas of what I can do until then. Also, he has developed black thick lines on the lower part of his body. Not sure what they are or if its normal.

Sorry to hear he is not eating do you feed him from a cup or let the crickets loose in the cage? Instead of using those total bites I would blend up organic fruits and vegetables. Here is the link to the food page, there will be info of what fruits and vegetables to be used to gut load the crix https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/food/
I would also spray more than 2x a day I would do around 5-6 for a good minute or so to make sure everything is nice and wet, once it has been dry for a lil than mist again. Also he needs plain calcium with no d 3 at every feeding and a multivitamin twice a month and calcium with d3 twice a month. Also do you have a UVB bulb on him? They need that too. Other than that it sounds like yo got the rest down. I would try to get a couple pictures of the black lines, he may hate it but it would give us a lot more info. Again I'm sorry your little one hasn't ate, but two days isn't too long. Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can help you out. But if he does get pretty sick the only way to save him is the vet. I hope he gets better soon good luck

they appear white in the photo. SOmetimes they are black. Either way, are they normal to get?
