Help We had 2 healthy baby chameleons 2 weeks ago since then we've lost one baby chameleon and now our 2nd is exhibiting the same symptoms as the 1st. The 1st little baby was actually quite a bit smaller so we're not sure if it was failure to thrive or something actually wrong with him. One day he got very lethargic and wouldn't open his eyes and it took him 4 days before he finally passed. The bigger chameleon which is the girl was doing great Up until yesterday and she is now exhibiting the same symptoms that she keyed was. We recently upgraded their cage to a bigger cage right now but since the baby started acting weird We place them back in their baby Box. We're running AT5 lamp we've removed the phone fogger per other breeders advice off Facebook. We're missing her 2 to 3 times A-day and feeding her plenty but she's not eating. Please help we don't wanna lose another baby.

What's the temperature in her cage?
Is she gaping with her nose up in the air?

Can you post a couple more photos of her so I can see her a bit closer please.

What UVB light are you using?

Her baby bin is 78 degrees our breeder said to tyy to warm her up.

What T5 bulb strength are you using and what is the exact distance from the bottom of the fixture to the highest point baby is able to bask at?

It is a reptisun bulb T5 it is approximately 3 to 4 inches from the top of the bin.
Can you please tell me your bulb strength.... I believe you are exposing them to far too high UVI levels.
With a single bulb T5 and a 5.0 or 6% bulb without screen to reduce UVI output you need a full 11-12 measured inches between the bottom of the fixture and the branch to get the correct 3 UVI level. With the distance you have now if it were a new 5.0 or 6% bulb they would be getting around 8-10 UVI level which is far past the max 6 UVI level exposure.

Its a T5 not 5.0 or 6
T5HO refers to the fixture type.... What is the bulb strength? It should say on the end of the bulb on the glass. Arcadia bulbs are 6% and 12% and reptisun bulbs are 5.0 and 10.0.

I am trying to help you with your distance. Right now with a T5HO fixture 3-4 inches away from the branch in the bin and any bulb strength listed above you are over exposing them to a far too high UVI level. This can kill them.

Its a 5.0 bulb definitely not 6%.
But it is for sure a 5.0 bulb correct? That is what it says?

If it is a 5.0 bulb and not a 10.0 bulb... you need a full 11-12 measured inches between the bottom of the fixture and the highest branch to get the correct 3 UVI level.
