guys!
how do you often shower your chams? 1/week? because she loves being showered while basking int he sun outside :D and is natural rain safe for chameleons? because i was thinking of acid rain -,-

It depends on your definition of "shower". My cages have a simulated rain twice a day. My cham's seem to prefer dripping water rather than mist. I take them outside whenever weather is appropriate and they also seem to enjoy natural rain showers. I'm not sure of rain quality. Your local or county agriculture office may be able to give you assistance regarding local air and rain quality. It is an interesting question. I'll be following this forum to see what others have to say on the subject.

what i do is go out, let them bask in the sun then turn the hose and project it upwards to copy the "rain". my chams drink on mist but they usually run from it and when i put a dripper they never go near it -,- but when i shower them outside, they drink heavily.. thanks btw :D

Unless you live in an extremely, excessively polluted urban environment, natural rain should be fine, provided that it's not a heavy storm. My Jax really enjoys a light summer rain, especially those odd ones that happen while the sun is shining. I took him out several times last year.

In addition to his mister which goes off several times a day, about every other morning, I try give him a long shower with my handheld pressure sprayer. I use hot water from the tap so the spray is lukewarm. Some days, he could care less but other days, he really enjoys the warm shower.
