Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
Male veiled, approx 4months, got him on Saturday.

Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
Once a day in the morning to feed him.

Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
I've been giving him crickets. He eats about 4-5 of them and then I put 5 in his cage. For right now I have the fluckers gut load that I've been putting carrots and orange with it. I've been trying to find the ingredients that I saw Sandra's blog to make my own.

Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? I have the rep-cal calcium I give every day except on Sundays. I will be doing d3 and multi vitamins on alternating Sundays.

Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
I have a dripper going all day. I hand mist him 4 times a day. I've been seeing him drink when I mist him.

Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? Has not pooped for my yet. No he has not been tested for parasites.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
18x18x36 screen
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
Repti glo 10.0. And a regular 65w bulb. Lights go on 730am off 730pm
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
83-84 basking. Cage floor 70-72. Night time temp is 61-63

Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Humidity never drops below 40 and goes up to 80 after misting.

Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
I have 2 pothos plants.

Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
I have my cage in the basement( away from the kids) as high as I can put it.

My current question/issue is he has been sitting under his basking lamp majority of the time and is constantly brown color. I don't know if I should try to up his basking temp a few degrees or is it more of an adjustment thing being in a new cage. Any help would be appreciated and many thanks in advance.

I think it is just an adjustment thing and wouldn't be worried at all. I have seen a lot of chameleons on here that are dark in color when they get into a new home. It would not hurt to raise your basking temp about 5 degrees or so and see if it helps.

Thanks carol. I believe you're right. I opened his cage this morning and hedidn't run away from the mister for the first time. He just sat there enjoyed the misting and turned a beautiful light green. I'm still going to bump up the temp a little as you suggested. Thank you so much.
