I read that article a few months ago, it's insane! If I remember correctly researchers just started noticing it because they would go through and either see ALL adults, ALL babies, or none.... so strange to live well over 50% of your life in an egg. Another thing too, I would expect a species with such a short lifespan to be smaller:confused:
 
Apparently they grow at a phenomenal rate! This species should be considered extremely endangered given its location and the fact that the entire species is at one time of year, only represented by buried eggs!
A disaster could wipe them out!
 
I personally thinks their short lifespan is tragic. What an exquisite looking chameleon, surely one of the most beautiful of all the species.

this thread was from an asian member that joined to id his new chams that his friend bought for him....one guess what they were...pics are gone but they looked gravid. both females
