After about a month and a half of trying to get a picture without his eyes at least partially open..............SUCCESS !!!!!

The "Christmas Chameleon".........huh ???

Tis the season........Jann, his name is Flash.

I haven't worked so hard to get a decent picture since the photography class in college. I'm telling ya..........he has to be the lightest sleeper on the planet.

Actually, I should give credit to my wife for being able to get the photo I've been after. She said I ought to leave the door latches on his cage unlatched and have the door not all the way closed. Last night after he got to his usual sleeping spot and prepared for lights out, I did exactly that. Then around 10:30pm last night..........I was vewy, vewy........quiet, you know......like Elmer Fudd when he's "hunting wabbits".........and finally got what I was after. Of course, the only people that really give a crap about seeing chameleon pictures are the ones that tend to inhabit this site. I just couldn't resist............

Hehe hunting wabbits. I love those shows.
my guys sleep fairly well. I had to move kink my veield from the blinds to his plants, i picked him up, eyes stayed shut,he hissed at me in his sleep (mouth closed) and crawled onto his plants from my hand, all with his eyes shut.
Kermit is a lighter sleeper though, and the smallest amount of light wakes him up.

I am glad you worked it to get that picture. His colors just glo. When you can look at your Cham like that, just perfection and beauty, it makes me feel all over again why we love and are completely "captured" by chameleons. Your Cham is Christmas present. Lucky you.
