My female Veiled, born last May, is one I intend to breed with my male. I planned on waiting until she is about 9 months old, not wanting to have her get a clutch too soo. Unfortunately, she started scratching around the bottom. I put a box of soil in (not to mention the potted plant already there) but she would not have anything to do with them. I finally set up a bucket with dirt and some sticks, etc and placed her in it. She is now excavating as I type this. These are definitely not fertilized and I am worried that these came on a bit early for her health. Bummer.

Give her lots of food, water and cal... She will be ok. Dont eye her as well. She may stop if she spots you and thinks you are something that will eat her.

Well Veilds will lay eggs if they are females even if they havnt bred. Make sure she has a proper laying bin so she doesn't become egg bound.

Lol, mainly since we are talking about Veilds, they do lay infertile eggs.
