sheets on sides of cage

My new apartment has a hardwood floor, and no madder how i set my mistking misting system, the floor gets dew and kinda wet, the ammount of water on the floor will definately cause the floor to warp. I want to put sheets over 3 sides of the cages, the cages are all 2 X 2 X 6 feet, do you think resting sheets on the sides will still give them enough ventilation, they are large cages

I solved over spray by aiming the nozzles at foliage. This also creates rain that drips down.

I see no issue with covering three sides with cloth.

EDIT: Wait, yes I do. While they will "breath" the cloth will hold water as well, and potentially create an overly damp/cold environment. You might take that into account.

That's how I have my cages set up, 3 sides blocked. I haven't had any issues so far. They dry in between mistings and are dry in the morning when I feed them. Just try it and if it doesn't work just uncover one side of the cage so your only covering 2 sides of all your cages. I didn't cut my sides tho...I just folded mine over so if I ever wanted to add/remove portions of the curtain, I wouldn't have to buy a new one.

Btw. I use shower curtains, not cloth.

I think you very likely can put plastic sheets on three sides without any concerns. Lots of screen on the front and top still, right?
a large rubber mat under the cage area could help protect the flooring also

yea the front is still very open, so three sheets should be fine? no madder how i aim the mist, some mist deflects off the plant and goes through the screen

You should be fine. Just check your cages to see if it dries between misting and if its dry in the morning before the first misting.

I just placed a clear shower curtain o nthe floor. uunder the cages.

i use cloroplast plactic carboard sheeting cut to size and cover 3 side of almost all my cages, as most of them have cages on either side i need to do this as a visual barries as well.

I have two sides of my flexariums covered and the MistKing nozzle in the other front corner angled inwards and it is working fine so far. Occasionally I'll have a little damp spot in front of the one cage, but usually that's because of the angle of the nozzle has shifted cause it's fallen a little bit (slipped down in mesh cause I don't have it attached securely)
That being said, I have two suggestions you could try if you're worried about completely covering sides, especially with summer coming up ventilation could be more of a concern.
Firstly, although not a terribly attractive idea, if you angled the side coverings out like a V - so the water would still be caught and slide down if it went out of sides, but it's still partially open at the top for circulation rather than straight close against the sides? If your decor is modern-art-ish, the angle thing might blend? Lol
Otherwise, what about Marty's new rain-dome cage top nozzle contraption? That would likely keep the water contained better, no?

i actually have 1 rain dome, but i find they like the mist better. My house is pretty breezy in the summer, so im not that worried. thanks

by chance have u tried to set up a deflector on the top of the nozzles to give u better control of where the spray will deflect off to ?
