Shedding time (Should my chameleon be stressed)

Hey my Chameleon Melly started shedding today and I noticed that she is really stressed, I have even on occasion noticed her rubbing up against the ficus tree in her cage. Is this normal or is there a greater issue? Also is there anything I can do to help.

Shedding is an uncomfortable and stressful process for chameleons. It is normal for them to react unpleasantly. Do not attempt to peel or pluck any shed off. It helps to increase the misting and humidity to make the shed easier.

Rubbing against things is completely normal :) She'll likely puff up and open her mouth more often as well, to loosen and stretch the old skin. They sometimes will loose their appetites as well, but that's all normal during shedding. As stated above, misting frequently with warm water will easy and usually quicken the process.
