Shedding question.

So today my little guy is shedding for the first time since i had him. My question is do they eat while they shed? I have crickets in his run cup but he isnt to interested in them hes almost 4 months old.

Mine does but don't be surprised if he didn't eat as much. He's going to be more interested in getting that skin off today.

Yeah he's been rubbing his eyes and head on branches and the leaves. I feel so bad for the little guy but man he has some cute colors underneath. I know juvenile are supposed to eat everyday that's why I was so concerned.

When my guy was young he did not eat while shedding. Now that he is 2 1/2 he does eat while shedding.

Thanks guys. I was just worried. I literally sat there almost an hour just to see if he would just go for one. I will leave a few on his running cup and see if he gets them if not we will try agian tomorrow.

You can also increase the humidity while he is shedding..just to get rid of all those shedding skin quickly.

Around 70% should be good...the body shed is usually comes off first....watch for the eyes(around) so he doesnt try to rub it on the branches or vine to get more irritation during the shedding process.

Hes almost done. He has some between the eyes and on the feet and tail.
