shedding, i have a question

I spoke with a woman in a family owned pet shop, and they seem know what they are doing with the herps (only animals they keep or sell), anyway I told her about my exploding shed, from completely white to a full shed in about 40min and she said that was a good sign of a healthy panther.
Is this a truth or myth?
