shedding and behavior

How many times will a cham shed? What is normal? It seems like my cham sheds monthly.

Also... I'm very dissapointed in my cham I know these guys are not cats or dogs but my cham HATES to be held. He hisses and tries to bite us when we try to pick him up. Any suggestions to change this behavior?

Is that him in your avatar picture? Veileds are known for being 'hissy' and territorial. Some chameleons actually seek human attention, some tolerate handling and others will have nothing to do with us at all! Try offering food on your hand so that he learns to associate your hand with positive things rather than him being 'picked up'.

With regard to shedding - how old is he? I am guessing that he's still a youngster and under 6 months old? When my Amy was a baby she shed every month until she got to 6 months old then it became every 3 months. They never actually stop growing, but the rate of growth slows right down, and therefore don't shed so often as adults.
