She abandoned her hole!

This means she is not done yet and will go back to dig and lay in the near future. Make sure to hydrate her in this interval and keep that uvb high! Good luck! You did not mess anything up :) it happens

I gave her enough food for the next few days, and I'll keep ice on top of the cage and the cover on. If she doesn't lay her eggs by Tuesday or Wednesday, I'll set up a trash can lay bin for her. I feel guilty because she had already dug down to her curly tail, and I messed up so she left her nice deep hole. :(

20161113_134804.jpg I decided it was time to go ahead and throw that poor girl away ;) She has 12 inches of damp eco earth and moss mix, it's sturdy enough to tunnel in. I'm going to put her lights on the top. Look good for a private space for her to do her thing?

Usually the cham will stop eating during the digging,so the feeder wont be necessary for her, leave her along as much as u can,u can feed her as much as u can after she laid all her eggs, along with the calcium supplement.

She's not been eating much, so while she's in her bin I'm going to wait a day or so before I disturb her to put any feeders in. I have been juicing up her drips with flukers reptiboost for nutritional support, she went off food pretty early in the process. On a side note, she loves that stuff! Even with plenty of hydration, she'll drink it from the syringe and she's normally not big on eating or drinking in my presence. Unless hornworms are involved, she'll chase me for them!

Thats good to hear, they tend to need more hydration after they laying.

My hornworm and waxworm colonies are just hatched and too small to feed right now, but I have 75 fresh hornworms and 250 waxworms on the way for after she lays. I stocked up on BSFL, too. I have ample supply of Dubia, supers, and mealworms. No crickets because I haven't been able to contain them and I despise escapees chirping at night, should I order some? And should I change her calcium and vitamin schedule to help her recover? I'm probably going to continue the reptiboost for a little while, and that replaces the dusting.

Depending on ur cricket resources,if its clean resources then feed,if not sure then I would rather feed the dubia n hornworm and waxworm for treat, stick with the same schedule on the supplement n obeserve her closely.

I always order banded crickets from Josh's frogs but I refuse to colonize them, I just get a few hundred and feed them off. I can order some but mine don't seem to miss when I don't have any. I generally only feed crickets so they can hunt from time to time, they won't eat wax moths and I'm too fond of my hawk moths to feed them off. I think they're awfully big for my guys, anyway.

If the routine is doing great ,stick with the same unless its a problem,so far so good for ur cham right?

Everything has been pretty good so far. The vet recommended the reptiboost because she quit eating much pretty early on, within a few days of showing her gravid colors. But she's right on schedule for starting to dig. Poor thing is huge! It's good that her grip is nice and strong, I would not be climbing if I was that big! But she's been pretty much on her normal routine until she started her hole this morning. This is her this afternoon en route to her laying enclosure...

Yup that is a big Mama,50 plus white jelly bean coming ur way

And give her extra calcium on her after laid meal so she wont have any problem.

I'm thinking lots of BSFL post laying, and hornworms are her favorite and they hold dust really well. And dubai even though she's not a huge fan. Would supers help her recover because of the extra fat? I'm worried sick :(
