So last night a crazy wind/thunderstorm swept through my town in KY. Literally every other tree is broken in half. Almost all neighborhoods were left without power. Our power went on and off about 10 times last night. Luckily it didn't go out completely, but our internet/cable did.
Many trees landed and tore apart power lines all over town. A giant tree landed on one behind my house, but I didn't realize it until this morning. Apparently a neighbor called the power company and they shut our electric off to work on it. We were without electricity from 1-8 PM.
I had Loki inside for a bit and he seemed confused. He couldn't figure out why all of the lights were out in the middle of the day. He didn't try to sleep at all. I was even more concerned because I had just fed him. So after about an hour, I took him outside. His temp gauge was reading 100 so I put him in the coolest spot and stayed with him. He ended up holding his mouth open (so was I) and I took him back in. He went without heat/UVB all afternoon. By the time the lights came on, it was lights out for him.
I know he will most likely be fine, but I'm still worried. At the very least, his whole schedule will be screwed up. I tried my best to make sure he was comfortable today. Inside it was too cold, outside it was too hot. I ultimately decided cooler was better, and hoped he would sleep through some of it. I guess I'm just posting for assurance. I'm sure some of you have been through much worse.
