So my temp right now in the basking area is about 85 degrees. If i drop it even a few degrees he acts like he is dead and his eyes get sunken in and he won't even flinch if i pick him up. If I get it to 85 or more he is more active and alert. Do you think he is too cold being that he is so sick? The little female is fine with temps and she actually sleeps upside down hanging from the screen inches from the heat. I move her and she goes right back up. She hangs out there all day right under the UVB light and heat bulb. Maybe it is too cold and damp here for them and that is why they like it warmer?? Yemen isn't exactly cool more like swealtering! Do you think he would be more inclined to eat if he was a bit warmer? He seems to like it a lot. He tries to drag himself farther under the light.

Just my observations over the lat 24 hours.

IMHO I wouldn't be taking him out if the temperature is only 40F. That's awfully cold when he's already sick. The UVB rays aren't that strong this time of year anyhow. I would stick to the UVB light in the cage. What exact supplements are you using now and how often for each? What are you gutloading with? When you put the crickets in his mouth, does he try to spit them out?

i could totally keep a gf in a tree in the corner of my room, ...mist her, feed her..ect ect..then leave when she complains..it'd be perfect..LMAO

I think it should be reported to Petco corporate...or maybe we should all write letters to them complaining about it and pointing to this thread.

Unfortunatly If you report him to corprorate I dont think itll go to well. I work at another petstore and I know that if we call our corprorate care line it goes in our record and we can be terminated bc we skipped ranks and went to the district manager or higher..... Sorry about your luck, your doing a good thing trying to help it. I hope it works out for you!
