Hi guys. I have a veiled chamelon which is about 5 inches snout to vent and i will be upgrading from a 3ft enclosure to something bigger. I have a reptibreeze now but i live in a cooler and dryer climate and humidity only stays in the substrate and the air is very slightly humid. What type of enclosure should I get?

Just go with a bigger screen cage put a lot of fake leaves around the sides to keep in as much humidity, also get some live non toxic plants. Ditch the substrate don’t put any kind of soil Moss or anything at the bottom makes cleaning a lot easier and more healthy. That’s just a couple things off the top of my head

Thanks for your input. Also my substrate is a thick layer of kitchen roll. 2/3 of my enclosure is already covered in plants. If i were to upgrade the humidity loss will be greater because there would be a greater gradient in air temp and humidity and diffusion will occur. Dp you have any ideas to combat this?

What about 3 solid sides? How dry and cool is your climate?

Its about 50 max right now so we crank up the heat and the humidity falls way down. In the summer its dry heat too so 3 sides might be a good idea. What if i were to add tons of ventilation ports to an arboreal vivarium?
