Setting Up My Cage Problems

Hey everyone,
I have a problem. So today I went to a few places. I stopped by Home Depot and bought myself an umbrella plant and a pothos plant. Then I stopped by Pet Supermarket and Pet Smart and bought myself a few other things. I'm setting up my cage right now and getting my chameleons home ready because tomorrow I am going to order him and he is expected to arrive by Tuesday morning. The things that I bought at pet smart and pet supermarket today are kind of useless right now and I'm noticing because of the way my cage looks. This is what I bought today:

Now, like I said before I am setting up my chameleons cage right now. The thing is to me it doesn't look right. It looks way too bushy or jungly and too crowded. Can anyone let me know if I'm doing it right or should I just use 1 plant for now or something? Please and thank you. This is how my set up looks like so far.

What kind of Cham are you getting? IMO the cage is too small for both plants, unless you prune it down some. I would start by putting in your sticks at the top first for your basking area and then add plants and sticks. Cut it down where he would still have foilage but where he can move around. have used the same plants.

I disagree, the cage is big enough for both plants. I like to cram a lot of plants into my cages though.

Your cage looks nice. I would put a few more branches in near the top, and maybe a vine or two. The dense foliage makes Chams feel secure

Nice job

I always put the sticks in first, starting at the top, about 8 to 10'' and put 2 or 3 in rows down to the floor.
I prefer sticks I cut myself off my backyard tree over dowls, which can
be a little slipery for a chams small feet.
Then I arange my twisty jungle vines, then lastly, my vines with leaves.
I like the Flukers brand leaves, like what you got.
Everyone does it their own way :D

I have an umbrella tree only but mine fills out the width of the cage and I just trim down the top for basking and bits off the side if needed. For me it provides enough foliage but its up to you and your buddy :)
I have a couple of the fake leave vine bush thingies on the side walls just so he doesn't feel exposed and still has plenty of room to move.

Hey,
I'm getting a 5 month old male veiled chameleon. I actually posted another thread where I finished my cage if you would like to check out the picture. The rest of my things arrived today, so I am going to fix my cage up a bit. I am ordering my chameleon tomorrow!

Thank you! Yes I am going to add a few more branches later on today. I actually posted another thread last night of my cage all finished. I'm going to fix it up a little bit later on though.

Hey thanks for the feedback I appreciate it!!
Yes I'll change my cage up a little bit later on. Today the rest of my things came in so I am going to add it to my cage. I posted another thread last night of my cage how it currently looks now if you want to check it out :)

Cool! Yeah I am going to trim my plants just a little bit because I want to add more vines and branches and it's pretty tough now with all the leaves covering the cage lol

The cage looks pretty good. As others have said I would add some more near the top. Also I would add a vine or a stick from the floor of the cage up to the plant to give the chameleon access to the plant from the floor. Sometimes they like to wonder on the floor and need a way to get back up.
