your going to neet a vet. that looks serious. please go to one and next time post in health and fill out the how to ask for help. how long have you had this cham? was it like this when you bought it? if not something your doing must be wrong.

than it should have been to a vet by now. thats not normal and he/she may never look compleatly normal but you can help the cham.

It is a very good thing your cham is eating and drinking. Active mouth rot is painful and most chams who have it refuse to eat. You may be seeing a healing earlier injury. The black on its chin is most likely a scab or scar from rubbing its face on cage wiring. Over time with shedding it may be less noticeable. If the inside of the cham's mouth is not red, inflamed, or showing patches of pale cheesy material on open sores it may not have mouth rot.

The discolored teeth may be a problem in the future if they are damaged but can't tell anything from your pics. It could be that because the cham can't entirely close its mouth the gums and teeth get dried out. Don't know about that but you do want to watch for abscesses.

senegal rescue

yes i bought it like that..it was actulally worse but the dry ness of the gums and teeth has stayed the same...were i got her from they were not giving her any calcium,no proper lighting and no gutloading of crix..i live in san luis az..and i cant find a cham vet close by any help?
she does eat she loves to hunt at the bottom of her cage, she eats about 4-6 crix a day..loves to drink plenty of water(too much) and,she used to have really long nails when i got her..but now they have shrunken to normal size after we exposed her to some natural uv.2 of her nails fell off..do they grow back?

i did post in health..no one answered to it ..so yea it worked here..i dont know a vet close by do you? i live in ( yuma az) i v had the cham for 3 weeks and she is doing much better than when i got her..she eats and has gotten beter color and she has gotten stronger as well. i already filled that how to ask for help..nobady answered as well..i have all the right lighting and temps. and cage size(mesh) and proper supplements and vitamins and i gut load ...she had never been taken care of like i do..i just want to diagnose her mouth:confused: and get it treated..i knw it wont look ever look normal

nails missing

in pic 2 where are her toe nails or am I just not seeing them?

no you are not mistaken . her toe nails are missing..2 of them...when i got her about 3 weeks ago her nails were oddly long..and slanted to the side..over these past weeks we have been bringing her up to health and exposing her to natural uv..the nails shrunk and 2 of them fell off..tis was wierd.. do you now if they grow back?

is it in a glass inclosure, if so they can get this from banging their noises on the glass

no shses been in a mesh cage all along..and yea she prolly got the bruise from scraping her head on the mesh..i havent seen her do it..but apperantly she did before i had her..maybe due to stress or wanting to get out.
