Okay, looking into breeding in a year or two, but my mother won't even let me buy an incubator until she sees that atleast ten people would be willing to buy one. (I'm not doing it for the money, more the joy of seeing them come into the world, yes I've looked up everything for breeding), so, who would want one?

I will buy all 10 so tell your mom to buy your stuff. Really they will sell, and if your justing doing it for fun then give them away for free just ask shipping in return. You will not be stuck with free baby chameleons i promise you.

Hahah they'll most likely be more than 10, and I'm not doing it purposely for the money but getting money in return to help pay for the incubator, their raising, the stressful months of their egglife, would help. The question is do people like Senegals? They're smaller than the preferred Veilds, Panthers, and Jacksons, and are usually only green. Their temperament on the other hand is nice, they take EASILY to any human.

The are not on the hot list right now but they will sell, heck vegas chad will buy them form wholsale pricing, he buys everything, lol.

How much do CB Senegals sell? Someone told me 20 and someone told me 100... I don't want to rip anyone off and I don't want to get jipped myself.

they are about the same as a veiled chameleon, 35 for babies is a general median price, 20 bucks wholesale, 50 bucks if you raise them to 6 months. hit a local reptile show when they hatch and sell for 35 each at 3 months old.

You may want to search the incubating threads, it seems to me that alot of people dont even use incubators, there are waaaay cheaper methods

I know all the methods of incubating, I'm just going the safest way, I don't trust my closet and such, winter is extremely cold, summer is extremely hot, it's never balanced. I'm most likely getting this.

They probably wont, and to be honest only about 10% of the babies will make it to see adulthood. People at the shows want chameleons because they think they are exotic. When you breed chameleons you cant keep them all. You have to look at the life cycle as a whole, in the wild many of them will be eaten or die, why try to stop that because you want someone to sign a paper saying they will give it a good home, you will never get a call form a past customer saying they didnt give it a good home. They are reptiles, their brains are programmed to eat, sleep, reproduce, defend territory they dont show affection, they have no feeling. Dont believe me yell at a reptile as you would a dog for peeing in the floor, a dog will tuck tail and cry, a reptile never. Yes it is sad they die, but im not going to turn down a sell. I look at it as one of the ones that didnt make it.

you can buy a cooler, then some flex watt and then a big apple herp temp controller and have perfect temps. How is the weather in Nonuvyabusiness, USA

Yes well I am willing to spend money until I find them homes that aren't completely idiotic in the ways of chameleons. That is just my opinion.

What if you hatch out 30 chameleons, thats tons of fruit flies, and what if they dont sell and you feed them for 5 months. You will spend over 200 bucks in food and supplies if you dont breed your own food. This is not an exageration either. Will your mom pay for this as i doubt you have a job. Then if you can feed them and cant sell them, then what?

Actually I will breed them long before I do the chameleons and I do have an okay job babysitting, 10 an hour, usually 6 hours at a time. I've already gone over everything for food, incubation, etc. Thank you for trying to help though.

Just save up during the long wait of incubation you should be fine. Just remember it is a full time job with chameleon babies.

I know, I'm saving for atleast a year first anyway, lucky me I have rich neighbors who like to escape their kid for long periods of time, and EXTRA lucky me she has a crush on my baby brother, so they just play games while I sit back and watch.
