Welcome to the forums!

Senegals are great little chameleons and if you can find a captive bred will make an excellent first chameleon.

First start here:
https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/chameleons/
Read all the sections, they explain the requirements very well!

The caresheet specifically is here: https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/caresheets/senegal/

But you will want to read as much as possible. There isn't so much information you shouldn't e able to get through all of it in an afternoon but make sure to reference it later!

You do NOT want an infrared night light chameleons, especially senegals do not need them and they can be detrimental. if your house gets colder than 50 - 55 degrees F at night you can look into a ceramic heat element but it should still allow temps to drop at least 10 degrees from the daytime temps.

Your terrarium should be okay. Some chameleons are stressed out by glass. Either they don't recognize the barrier and get stressed when they can't go through it or they see their reflection and get stressed another chameleon is present. So if you do keep the glass watch carefully for signs of stress.

Finally with a Senegal the attraction is often the low purchase price of a wild caught. (If you're paying less than 100 USD it is likely wild caught.

Wild caught will wind up costing a bit more. As soon as you purchase it you need to make sure it is hydrated and eating, and you need to get it to a vet very soon to be tested for parasites or other issues. Parasites or issues will need to be treated soonest to help ensure long term health.

In my opinion standard care in the caresheet I posted is wrong about RH and hydration levels where Senegals need more than indicated.

If you do get a Senegal or progress further keep us posted here, many will be able to help!
