Securing branches

Hello, I was wondering how people secured their branches and dowel rods. I put a thumb tack in each end of the rods but they tend to spin. I need a solution. Thanks

Dowel rods and bamboo are useable, but area too slick, requiring more grip. I would suggest real branches.

CHEERS!

i used a small drill bit and drilled a small hole through each end of the bamboo and use the wire from garbage ties, through the drilled holes and through the screen and twist. Nice, easy, clean, and free lol, and they dont move at all. Also if you using something slick like bamboo, just scuff it up with sandpaper before you put it in the cage.

I attached all my branches with this green florist/gardening wire I found a gardening center. It was inexpensive and it works great... Super secure as long as you attach it at the right angle.

I've found magnets to be great. Very cheap at lowes or Home Depot. Just glue one to the end of your branch or vine and place the other to the outside of the cage to secure it in place. Use a larger magnet for heavier items.
