Screening question

I am building my first cage and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to attach the the screening to the wooden corners? Also what kind of screen is the best?

Thanks

Build your cage 1 side at a time. Staple it to the frame so the screen is tight. Buy flat wood moulding, 3/4 inch at Hardware stores, and nail that over the staples, so it looks finished. That way you don't wrap the corners.

A nicer looking option is to use a table saw to cut a groove on the inside of each frame, and use the same spline that holds the screen in place in a screen cage.

If you are not experienced with wood working and don't have all the tools, honestly it is not much of a savings to build your own over buying a 2x2x4 at LLL Reptile or DIY.

I have built probably 70 or so wood/screen cages, and would only build one if I couldn't find the size at a vendor. And I have ALL the tools needed...

For screen, aluminum is preferred over fiberglass, as fiberglass can be eaten through by some feeders.
