Screen Mesh Collecting Water from DIY Dripper

Hi,
I made a dripper system using a plastic container, soldered a hole for an air valve with aquarium silicone to prevent leakage.

When I tried to put it to use, the water droplets won't fall through the screen mesh and it slowly accumulates a puddle on the mesh instead. I am using ReptiBreeze screen enclosure and I would prefer to avoid cutting a whole for a tube to run through. Does anyone has any suggestions?

I have read about inserting a string through the valve but have yet to try that out.

mine used to do that when i sat it ontop of the mesh but now i put mine up high ontop of my uv canopy then they drip straight through.:)

Take the lid off and set it on top of the lid. It raises it up so the spicket is not resting on the screen

I had this problem once but I don't use the dripper as I have an AquaZamp now. To solve it, I just touch the bottom of the puddle from inside the cage when you turn on the dripper and make sure it's dripping through. Then, it drips through fine all day.
