i've been looking at screencages.com and the offer two different screen sizes..
what's better to get, the regular size holes or the smaller size.. i believe i read something where the males nails can get caught in the smaller size...

thanks, lisa

Personally Im going to order the larger sized screen. My male is only 4mo. He already has had problems with the smaller screen on my LLL cage. So i will give that cage to my new female and give him the cage with the larger holes. Its the toenails that get caught in the small screen. I knew when I ordered my cage from LLL it was going to be an issue. I thought I wouldnt need to worry until he was in the 7-8 month range though. :( Best option period is to make your own cages of wood and plastic coated aluminum screen. They are more attractive, and much sturdier than all screen cages. Agin jmo.
After I get in the new house I will be building all my cages and using the aluminum screen cages as outside enclosures.

thanks for the info..

where would you acquire the plastic coated aluminum screen?? i haven't been able to locate a cage already made of you so building might be an option. if i can come up with the proper material..;)

thanks again,, lisa

I bought a 50' roll years ago from a gentleman here in Houston that sold it. But I'm sure you can find it if you look online. I don't know how much shipping will be though. But one roll will make many cages. I made 4 cages that were
6' x 2 x 2. And I had enuff left over to make some out door cages also.
