Schleffera dropping leaves

Hello, I am having possible issues with my schleffera, it seems to be thinning out quite a bit. Some of the leaves falling off have a small brown spot on them but not all of them do. What could be causing this? maybe not enough light? I just got a new flourescent tube grow light to use untill I can find an 18" 6500k t8 bulb. I know it is not from getting too much water because I lost my previous schleffera from that and know what that looks like and I solved that problem.

I had a similar problem with my first plant and thought it was too much water, but I have since added two 6500K bulbs and my new plant is sprouting little branches all the time and it very full. If I had to bet I would say it is not enough light that is causing your issue.

It's the light. Mine died from inadequate lighting. Increasedlighting....and now my new one is going crazy

Ya I kinda thought that, I've got lots of new growth near the top where the lights are but its thinning out below where it was so thick that the light never makes it. Thanks.
