I have heard the only non-toxic one is the Ambrolica which is more like a bush. I truely hope that the Amata is ok to though as it's a great looking tree for a large 5 -7 foot enclosure. Putting together a good cage design for something big and plant selection at that size becomes difficult...plus Amata have that amazing jungle look to them. Just spent over a week in the Amazon Basin and they were everywhere but huge (well at least I thought that's what they were)

Schefflera 'Amate' is a fastigiate or columnar form of S. actinophylla and should not be used in animal environments.

now i'm worrying..... i'm not really sure which type of schefflera i have...... are they different enough that a good pic will help ID them?
