My three month old cham today was climbing on the top of the cage and went to reach for a leaf, hanging from the mesh by only his tail! I gasped, scared he would fall, but no, he got thay branch.

My level of paranoia for this lil guy is pretty crazy, lol

They're pretty crazy, aren't they? Also, he may be climbing on the screen because he is either a bit cold (maybe move a branch closer to the light slightly) or maybe just exploring

My little Jackson's chameleon I had a while ago fell one from 20 inches and caught himself an inch from the bottom WITH ONLY HIS TAIL! It was nuts.

I think it was exploration, I added some vines today.... So crazy though! All day I'm obsessed by what he is doing

When my Cham was three months old he was constantly climbing the screen. Just exploring the enclosure. He doesn't do that so much anymore

The whole "catching by the tail" thing seems to be relatively common! My panther did the same thing after climbing onto the inner part of the door lock (it's a glass front) and falling and discovering it was a really bad idea. Pretty awesome reactions to grab a plant just using her tail! Bit scary though!
