Here’s some recent photos of Santo. He was 3 years old back in January.

Are you going to try to get a mate for him?

No, I’m not planning to try to find him a mate. I’ll leave the breeding up to Dale Tamura. He seems to be the only one able to breed in the US.

A little bigger than his brother. Pelli is 259-270 depending on when and what he last ate.

How often do you you feed Pelli? I feed Santo every other day, about 4 to 6 feeders.

Same here, although on the "off" days he usually gets 2 or 3 bsf or house flies just for "mental exercise". He does seem pretty satisfied with that, not constantly ravenous like a veiled.

He seems to chew or macerate his food for a long time in his mouth compared to other chams. Like, I have to sit there and wait a minute before offering another feeder. Have you noticed this at all?

i am concerned if it is normal but have nothing to compare to.

Yes, Santo’s holds his food in his mouth for a while. My panthers do, too. I just offer him a feeder and go around and feed everyone else a feeder and the start all over again. Only my veileds will gobble their food so it’s probably good that I keep them it the circle to eat, also.
