Sambava Panther Chameleon and Jackson Pair

These are my Chameleons. I have had the male Jackson the longest of the three. The Jacksons are kept separately from the panther, despite what I have read, the Jacksons get along quite well as the male does not harass the female with romantic attempts and both are robust and eat well. All are kept out doors in screened enclosures and are fed crickets daily, dusted with Repashi complete, the Jacksons are more sensitive to vitamin A and are supplemented weekly versus daily. The crickets are gut loaded on a non grain based diet with kale. I picked them all up from Pinellas Reptiles out of Saint Petersburg Florida, it's a one of the best reptile shops in the area. The Sambava comes from Kamerflage blood lines which the owner of Pinellas has been breeding for years.

Sambava Panther male

This is my Sambava Panther male, not the friendliest fella, my Nosee Bee was far more interactive than this guy.

Here is my Jackson female.

Here's my Jackson female, she is healthy gal and the couple get along well for reptiles. Occasionally the male bobs his head at her and she looks at him I have observed no breeding activity yet but some things happen behind closed doors. ;)

Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Just watch the extra stress that could be caused by having them live in the same cage. How large is your cage for the Jasksons? Is there plenty of room if she would want to be left alone for awhile?

So far so good rest assure should a problem arise a separate enclosure is readily available, but as of yet they appear fine, eating well weight appropriate, clean vents, firm waste, appropriate color well hydrated.

those are nice chams, but that female is IN STRESS colors now- please do the right thing and separate them - they DO NOT like friends , and stress can kill a cham -

Ok I joined this forum for perspective and the consensus is separation and as such I will separate them this weekend. I will keep everyone posted on their hopefully continued success.

YAY :) she will be much happier. I wish they could be housed together, a pair displayed together always looks so neat, but... that is just not for most chams -
putting her needs of separation before your wants of displaying them together, shows you will be a wonderful owner.
look forward to more pics of your pretty chams :)
