Safe plants!

I have a golden pothos for my guy and got him a croton too. I took the croton out as soon as I read it could be toxic. I heard the same thing about ficus. I’m getting a lot of different things from online. If anyone could help with the best plants that are safe for my lil guy that would be great!

Quite a lot of people use ficus (usually ficus benjamina) in their enclosures and haven't had any issues. Yes, some of these plants can be toxic, but as long as you take care of them and make sure you keep a close watch on your chameleon, they are usually okay. What kind of ficus plant are you using? Ficus benjamina is the scientific name for a weeping fig, which is what the plant may be sold as. A bunch of plants are mildly toxic, but they are still on the Safe Chameleon Plants list because they are so mild that they really won't do much in the long run. If you want to be extra safe, doing extra research is the only way to get answers. The above list is pretty trustworthy, though. Hope that helps.
