Sad news

im sorry for your loss, what happened ?
Shes a female chameleon aged about 2.2 years and apparently they only live 2-3 years so i think it was natural but the vet didnt tell me as he wasnt a specialist he just said you can try n take her to a specialist and pay upwards of 4-500 pounds and she could still die or you can take her home and have a slow death so i reluctantly decided to have her numbed and put down which i still dont know if it was the right decision

you made the right decision especially if she was suffering and dont feel like you should have taken her to a specialist it may have just been her time and money is a factor so i would have probably done the same, i know it was a hard decision, sorry for your loss :(

Honestly she was apart of the family from what ive heard about chameleons most of em are quite reclusive but mine was so friendly like id hold my out in the cage and she'd come running up my arm she was legendary now shes just buried in my garden with a lil head stone its really sad man

Sorry for your loss. They do get into our hearts and don't let go.

If you're lining on getting another one you might like to namer the questions in the husbandry thread so we can help you with the husbandry for your next one. They can live to be at least 7.

Yea they really do she was literally acting fine 5 days ago then she just started to become so weak and tired i had to roll her mouth down and pour water in it was really upsetting but i Haven't found that section yet but ive been looking into a Jackson chameleon but i still miss this one ?
